My Expressive Aphasia

December 1, 2009 1 comment

Portraits of power.

I think the Paddies are taking the crown home for this one. Nothing can compete with Brian Cowen’s stunning countenance: the exact replica of the Bogart half grin give or take a dangling ciggarette and a stoat’s conk .
The kid from Madagascar is admirably cute too. No King Julian, this chump, but would do fine for now.

I have exactly 40 days left before my first set of exams commence and yet it was only last evening that I discovered, upon some casual reading, that Aphasia is not really a cocktail or a suburb in Athens. Bollocks doesn’t even begin to describe Neuropsychology. If only I had learned my lessons and chosen to pursue a degree in Philosophy than repeat the whole Master’s ordeal with this blighted subject. Now I must get under the sheets with Bandura.

Here is a warning. NEVER consider an education in psychology. Specifically clinical psychology. Its the most irrelevant and simultaneously baffling sort of intellectual harakiri. Get a qualification in refrigeration mechanics. It will do you more good in the long term. And also enable you to make a more reasonable living.

UPDATE!
The more I consider it, the more I am inclined to believe that Keith Richards has a particularly acute case of expressive aphasia.
